The 750m swim still starts in fdront of the amazing backdrop of castle and is a straight line swim to Fisherman’s Quay. Instead of arriving immediately at transition upon exiting the water, competitors will turn the opposite way to previous years and cross under the road before a short run to the grassy transition area in Marine Gardens.
The 20 km cycle heads out towards Whitehead, before looping round and returning past Fisherman’s Quay. A quick spin around the roundabout in front of the Castle returns them to Marine Gardens to transition to the run.
Heading back towards the underpass and Fisherman’s Quay, runners complete 3 laps of the promenade before once more using the underpass and then finishing their 5kms amidst the crowd in Marine Gardens
